The American Red Cross Mid-Florida Region has partnered with Charity Clothing Pickup to collect donated clothing throughout the counties it serves. CCP collects the clothing and provides funding for the many operations the Red Cross sponsors. In Florida, CCP provides door to door pick-up service, clothing drop boxes, and business clothing drives.

CCP collects usable clothing of all types for men, women and children including hats, belts, shoes, purses and small household items such as blankets, linens, towels, pots, pans and toys.

Through the door to door pickup service and donation locations CCP can accept all of the above plus: small household appliances such as TV’s and microwaves, dishes, decorative items, small computers, and other usable items that can be easily carried by one person.

Research conducted by the Environmental Protection Agency in 2000 showed that as much as 85% of used textiles end up in landfills. Through CCP, the Merchandise Pickup Service works to help correct this problem in our community while funding local non profit organizations.
